The hope was to be free today, but just to walk downstairs around the compound’s courtyard. Unfortunately, yesterday a family came back from one of the many field hospitals and still results positive.
Now they sadly will go back to the field hospital. Their children will be sent to a hotel, and we have to stay locked for another week in our apartment, moving our hopes to the following week.
I live in a small compound, about ten 25-storey buildings with 5 apartments on each floor. About a thousand apartments.
Everyone is wondering what is happening here? How is it possible that a country showed advanced technologies, magnificent wealth, and uncomparable progress in its worldwide postcards-like promotion and suddenly put electric wires on people’s doorstep?
It’s not a rhetorical question. I’m honestly asking myself if it was my bias, or is it just a fleeting moment, as many keep telling me? Are they also biased? Big confusion.
