We have been in lockdown for two weeks now and still have no idea when it will be over. Everyday test, so the biggest fear now is that if you test positive, they will take you and separate you from your family and send you to these horrible temporary hospitals, which are practically cages to contain large animals.
Frightens? Of course, nobody knows what’s going on, and you feel that the numbers are worth more than you.
All this happens not only here but everywhere because there are always those who see people as mere numbers. Anyone who looks at the world through numbers risks not doing good.
Who thinks through numbers sees things as absolute opposites. Black and white or zero and one.
There are no shades in this way of thinking. Thinking in such precise terms and without alternatives is not respectful of the peculiar aspects of human nature and life. That is all about slight differences.
Sure, computers think in terms of zeros and ones, but we are not computers, and we are not robots.
